Aim

The acquisition of theoretical and practical knowledge for studying and dealing with problems concerning the protection of marine environment from anthropogenic intervention.

Objectives

After successfully attending the course the postgraduate student should be capable of:

  • Conceiving the environmental problems and the re-adjustments of the natural activities caused by anthropogenic intervention in sea.
  • Applying assessment techniques of the change of natural activities in the marine environment and the transport and dispersion of pollutants in sea.
  • Being aware and checking the quality criteria of the marine environment and drawing-up a study on the environmental impacts of marine works.
