The comprehension of the basic principles and the
practice in applying techniques of decision and risk analysis with the
view to confronting and resolving problems concerning the management
and protection of environmental and natural resources.
After successfully attending the course the postgraduate
student should be capable of:
Identifying and quantitatively appreciating the
uncertainty or reliability degree of the different variables and
parameters that he studies.
Conceiving the significance of risk in environmental
issues and problems and applying methods for its quantification.
Producing decision trees on various types of decision
and risk analyses.
Solving environmental management problems by applying
principles and methods of decision analysis.
